More Than Food

I specialize in integrative approaches to health and healing. As a psychologist, health coach, yoga teacher, and energy worker I truly understand the mind, body, and spirit approach to health. In fact the food that we eat may actually be secondary to these other aspects of our lives. 

In my training we understood primary food as things like relationships, social life, home environment, Joy, spirituality, and creativity. By primary food, I mean the things that feed and nurture us that are just as important to our health as what we eat. 

I am also interested in how the impact of systemic oppression, racism, heterosexism, fat phobia, transphobia, and ableism impact the mind, body, and spirit. 

In our work together, I will make space for each of these aspects as we collaborate toward health liberation!

Complimentary Practices

Yoga and meditation practices have been integral to my personal healing journey. I have the honor to share this healing medicine with clients in a 1 on 1 or group setting. I primarily teach Kemetic Yoga using the YogaSkills Method co-founded by Yirser Ra Hotep and Dr. Hapi. I like to describe my Kemetic Yoga classes as chakra infused, meditation centered, movement medicine. Given my additional certifications in Hatha, Restorative, Yin, and Curvy Yoga I am intentional about creating body inclusive healing space. 

I also offer Liberation Reiki™ and Kemetic energy sessions to do direct work on the subtle (energy) body. We are made of a physical body that includes muscles, bones, tendons and other physical traits. We are also made of an energy body that is comprised of an aura, chakras, meridians, nadis and other subtle features. Through sound therapy, crystal therapy, and hands on energy work these sessions leave one feeling at peace.
